1. Who we are

We Build Your Cloud (“WBYC”, “we”) is a cloud-infrastructure and DevOps consultancy based in Tzumarrum, the Netherlands. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Contact: privacy@webuildyourcloud.io.

2. Data we collect

  • Website/blog visitors: information you submit via our contact form (name, email, message) and standard analytics (e.g. page views, approximate location, device/browser).
  • LinkedIn: via the LinkedIn Community Management API we publish our own content to, and read engagement and analytics for, LinkedIn pages and profiles that we own and administer. This may include comments, reactions, and aggregate post-performance metrics on our own posts.

3. How we use it

  • To respond to enquiries and provide our services.
  • To publish our own articles to our own LinkedIn presence and to understand how that content performs, so we can improve it.

We process this data on the basis of legitimate interest and/or your consent under the GDPR.

4. LinkedIn data — specific commitments

Data obtained through LinkedIn’s APIs is used only for managing our own content and understanding its performance. We do not sell it, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising or sales targeting. We retain it only as long as needed for these purposes and delete it on request, including any deletion required by LinkedIn.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We use a small number of service providers (e.g. hosting, analytics) who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements.

6. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete it.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may object to or restrict processing. Contact privacy@webuildyourcloud.io. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

8. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website and blog use only strictly necessary cookies — required for the site to function (e.g. security and, on our blog, signing in to membership or commenting features).

For audience measurement we use self-hosted, open-source, cookieless analytics running entirely on our own infrastructure. It sets no tracking cookies, uses no device fingerprinting, and transmits no data to any third party.

Our commitment: We do not use, and we will never use, commercial tracking, advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking software. We never share visitor or reader data with third-party advertising networks, data brokers, analytics providers, or any other third-party commercial entity. All analytics data stays on our own servers; we never sell, rent, or monetise it.

Because we set no non-essential cookies, we do not display a cookie-consent banner. You can still control or delete cookies via your browser settings.

9. Security

We apply industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date reflects the latest version.
